Time Travel

Setting: old house/ deserted building

My idea is that 4 brothers move into an old house and find an old book which can time travel, but each boy gets sucked into a different point in the previous owners of the books timeline and have to try and find a way back.

Children Film Idea

My idea for the children's film is that there is an object lost in time. As the object is lost in time the great great granddaughter would follow up where her mother and the rest of her family left off to try and find the object by travelling through time looking everywhere she could and getting in many sticky situations and making lots of new friends from all around the world and different moments in time.
In the intro there would be a section showing how the object was lost in the first place and some of the different adventures the girls family have been through. it would then show the girl being told the story by her mother and telling her 'to never stop the search for magic, never give up hope.'

A girl owns a locket which can time travel. the opening scene shows her coming back from one of her journeys and telling her friend who doesn't believe her. The opening sequence finishes as she tells her friend she can prove it and takes the locket out of her pocket.

journal extract

Dear journal,
                     i don't know how i've done it but i've managed to lose one of my dearest possessions, my locket. This locket held the key to something amazing, it could time travel. I say i've lost it but really i have only lost a piece of it. While ethel and i were coming back from one of our travels, unknown to us the last time we would come back. The locket was split into two pieces, we arrived back with with only one piece. I would do almost anything to get the other half back, but it's stuck in the second time line of the past, hidden in the past. But i guess i shouldn't think about the about the bad things, i should reminese and think over the good times, the amazing things. I can still remember Ethel and mines firts journey to the past timeline as if it were only yesterday. Ancient Rome we ended up at, oh! it magnificent. I've been to many places because of that locket; Eygpt, Medieval England, New York and even India. All of them in the past, but the best trip will always remain our first, Rome. Ethel insists on trying to go back but there really is nothing we can do. The locket's lost in time..

LILLY: Ed! come and look at this!

ED: It's Ed-WARD. and what?

LILLY: Come here, look what i've found! it was Grandma Graces Journal and this locket piece.

ED: let me see.

--passes journal--

LILLY:  (reads from page in book)

--Grandma Graces voice over continues reading--

LILLY: time travel? but that can't be possible?

ED: ...well.

*scene-outside ed's room*

ED: step into my office..

LILLY: what? ed. this isn't your office, this is your ROOM. 

ED: *sigh* just come in..

LILLY: why do you have a white board in your room?

ED: christmas 2008.

--ed writes on white board--

LILLY: ..right.

LILLY: so there IS another time line?

ED: yes. there could be.

LILLY: then we should find the locket piece!

ED: (turns to board writes more.) ..well. we could...if..and..and then..in conclusion we need to find ethel!

*scene change-outside*

LILLY this is going to be hard. where do we find ethel?
